Teikyokani is an energetic high school located in Gifu, Japan. In 2022, the International Baccalaureate course has been established along with a beautiful dormitory for international students. 1. Develop academic English skills in three years
All the curriculums are taught in English by native English faculty, except for practical subjects such as Japanese, music and PE. Therefore, students can acquire high-level English as well as become comfortable with basic Japanese conversations during their three-year high school life.

Students will be able to obtain a Japanese high school diploma as well as 「International Baccalaureate Diploma」 when they graduate, which provides a great chance to enter both famous universities in Japan and the world.

Learning in English helps you apply for university in Japan
There are approximately 70 universities in Japan, including Tokyo University and Kyoto University, that accept applications with IBDP. Moreover, half of the students use 「recommendation system」(an exam for candidates recommended by high school principals) for university enrollment, in which students with academic English are at an advantage.
3. Well-organized curriculum for science
For the elective subjects: Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches、Chemistry、 Biology or Physics, students can choose high-level classes in order to further develop in science.

Tuitions, including dormitory fees in Teikyokani, are about half the price compared to schools in Europe and the U.S.

IBDP is a new course which has just been launched in 2022 in Teikyokani. Six veteran teachers from different countries and backgrounds are now ready to assist students in the upcoming learning journey. Even though there is no enrollment data for the university yet, we are making every endeavour to improve Teikyokani as Asia’s leading IB school in the next 10 years.
